About the project
Drawing inspiration from the ornate, colourful masks and the wild animals encountered throughout the journey, the work explores how culture and nature shape one another: bold forms, vibrant palettes, and layered symbolism merging into new characters.
The series captures not just what was seen, but what was felt, a visual archive of energy, spirit, and memory.
